Education and experience

Femke Scherpenzeel has been working within the insolvency practice of HJ Law since may 2026. Prior to joining the firm, she spent over two and a half years as a legal assistant in the litigation & insolvency department of another law firm, where she gained valuable experience in the day-to-day insolvency practice.

Alongside her professional responsibilities, Femke completed her Bachelor’s degree in Law and subsequently started the pre-master programme in Law at the Open University. She is particularly drawn to the dynamic nature of insolvency law and the challenge of ensuring that cases are handled carefully and efficiently.
